Lo conosciamo per i suoi lavori da solista ma anche per quelli realizzati in collaborazione con alcuni degli artisti più importanti al mondo. DJ Snake non è un nome qualunque nel panorama della musica elettronica internazionale.
William Sami Étienne Grigahcine, questo il vero nome di DJ Snake, è nato a Parigi nel 1986 da padre francese e madre algerina. Appassionato di musica fin da adolescente, inizia ad usare la consolle all’età di 14 anni, e a 19 a produrre musica. Nel 2013 pubblica il singolo Turn Down for What, che ottiene un enorme consenso di pubblico, arrivando al disco di platino sia negli Stati Uniti che in Canada; nel marzo 2015 collabora alla canzone Lean On con i Major Lazer, brano che viene premiato dalla rivista Time come la miglior canzone del 2015; tra un successo e l’altro, nel 2016 rilascia anche Let Me Love You, singolo che vede la partecipazione nella parte vocale del cantante canadese Justin Bieber; nell’estate 2018 sforna uno dei tormentoni dell’anno, Taki Taki con Selena Gomez, Cardi B e Ozuna.
