TEEJAY | BIO
Teejay è un popolare cantautore, rapper, produttore e artista internazionale giamaicano. Teejay, il cui vero nome è Timoy Janeyo Jones, è nato il 3 ottobre 1994 nella zona di Glendevon a Montego Bay, St. James, Giamaica. Teejay è noto per le sue canzoni da classifica come From Rags To Riches, That’s Not True, Unfaithful Games, Owna Lane, Uptop Boss.
Teejay ha iniziato a registrare all’età di 6 anni. Il suo talento è stato fortemente influenzato dai suoi fratelli che, all’epoca, formavano un gruppo chiamato C&C. All’età di 10 anni, nel 2005, ha scritto la sua prima canzone intitolata “I Know Jah”. A 14 anni ha scritto una canzone per le scuole giamaicane intitolata “Schoolaz Antem”. La canzone è diventata molto popolare ed è stata molto trasmessa dalle radio nazionali giamaicane, dagli spettacoli scolastici e dai balli di strada.
Si è costantemente esibito in talent show ed eventi anche in giovane età. Si è messo in mostra nell’album Eagle riddim del 2017 accanto a pionieri come Vybz Kartel.
