Sophie Hawley-Weld e da Tucker Halpern, membri del duo di musica dance dei Sofi Tukker, sono tornati negli scorsi giorni a farsi sentire con “Original Sin”, il loro nuovo singolo.
In merito al brano, il gruppo ha affermato: ” ‘Original Sin’ è il modo perfetto per introdurre il mondo del WET TENNIS , ed è rappresentativo della ” freak fam”, la nostra community. Non siamo fatti per essere santi. Non nasciamo peccatori. Siamo solo un gruppo di persone che commettono errori e continuano a cercare di fare del proprio meglio. WET TENNIS è un acronimo che sta per: “quando tutti cercano di evolversi, niente di negativo è al sicuro” , ed è di questo che parla questa canzone. Viviamo in un mondo travagliato, non è colpa nostra se a volte abbiamo problemi. Questo fa parte di ciò che ci rende umani. Ma quando ci evolviamo insieme e celebriamo, invece di giudicarci a vicenda, possiamo muoverci attraverso la negatività verso uno stile di vita più ottimista “.
E proprio un forte ottimismo traspare dalle parole del testo di questa canzone e dalla vivacità dei colori del suo videoclip ufficiale. Gioioso e seducente al pari dell’inter album WET TENNIS– disponibile a partire dal 29 Aprile come seguito del loro album di debutto “Treehouse” nominato ai GRAMMY nel 2018-, il video è stato girato a Oahu, Hawaii, con la regista Aerin Moreno e con l’aiuto della direttrice creativa Amber Park. Nella partita di tennis, i due artisti indossano abiti wet tennis, appositamente disegnati dal noto designer di costumi cinematografici Johnny Wujek.
Oggi i due artisti sono impegnati nei preparativi del loro tour mondiale che, partendo il 21 Maggio da Washington, proseguirà per ben diciannove date attraversando Stati Uniti e Canada.
